Help is on it’s way are you ready?

August 31st, 2009 — 4:57pm

Dear {!firstname},

I have been on a 7 cities in 8 weeks tour. I love travel but this
was even a bit much for me. My last one was with my grand kids and
it was perfect. No computer, no meetings except in the garden or at
the lake throwing rocks, no phone calls except on ones made by Matel
It was so nourishing that I came back ready for all the changes.
Redesigning my sites and much much more so take advantage of
my offers now before they change. http://gurutej.com/

What a whirl wind life right so how to get truly deeply attractive
so we can reverse our desire and deserving connection. We all want
to desire and have it appear. What my teacher always said was
“Deserve then deisre.” What does that mean exactly? That your
deservingness needs to be way way elevated. How?

Meditating more. Eating less, Sleeping when needed. Being around
People who are uplifting, successful in all realms. Become those
people.

How can that happen? I am greatful to say that I have somethings
that will help elevate your frequency so you will become very
attractive to your desires as long as they are at the frequency of
you. Meaning you can’t hope for gold when you are a puaper because
there is a pauper mind and soul set that has to be shifted.

Yogi Bhajan helped me pick topics to serve the people in these times
and even decided the content for my DVD’s.http://gurutej.com/ so
please allow the support you need now.

My flip charts are like your daily angles to be carried around with
you and put on your desk to remind you to breath and energize you
in the moment. http://gurutej.com/ instead of waiting till you are
exhausted.

Please help youself and share these great inexpensive tools with
others. The blessings will come back to you.

Blessings,
Gurutej

PS Remember to really get the desire you have to feed the deserve.
Feed you the meditation preserves. Yummmm

How do you regain your greatest asset?

August 28th, 2009 — 3:54pm

How are your managing you most valuable commodity? You know what that is right? Energy is your most priceless commodity. My yesterday story

It has been a wild ride these last few weeks 7 cities in 8 weeks. Then all the added things like a sister who has stage 5 cancer, a 93 year old father who has decided he wants to take back managing his finances, throw in wasp nests of many styles including the real thing, a web guy can’t call him a master good heart but missed changing my e mail link with paypal and that means no sales they all go out into the abyss. Ahhhh Thank God for the breath. I so know I am not the only one with a few challenges these days. What to do?

Time to know that we all are a mixture of dark and light. It’s all about where you put your time and energy to build, define, refine. What helps us do that is the deal and it needs to be fast these days it’s can’t take 2.5 hours anymore it needs to change our energetic states on the spot.

Actually there is the full-length version. What you do first thing in the AM how you arise sets your day your mindset and your connections. What do you do during the day to rejuvenate yourself and bring back to neutral, non reactive? I have some tricks to share.

After 40 years of teaching yoga and meditation, doing healing work, running businesses and building communities I have a few tricks to share. Are you open to utilizing them?

1. I keep my yoga mat next to my desk so I just take mini breaks during the day.
2. I exercise every day. A 30 minute swim or roller blade plus some yoga every day
3. I pay attention and eat when hungry. Some days very little and others graze all day
4. What I eat is as important as when and how. What do you need to be eating?
5. Alkaline is all it’s pumped up to be. It keeps you young and alive. What is alkaline? Google it.

Hunched over your desk, not breathing is not a way of life it is a way of death. Are you dying? What are you doing to live? My father today asked me “What are you doing to have fun” I realized in telling him the things I was doing in the next few days that I love most of what I get to do and who I get to do it with. This is the life I want for each of you.
I will not tell you if you do this you will never get tired but I will tell you that you will have more energy because you are source connected. It is the key to co-creation.

Connect first thing in the morning and keep bringing yourself back to that connected state. Try this for reconnection.

Three Part Forward Bend
The brain fountain of youth

Stand with legs wide open. The stiffer you feel, the wider you should spread the legs.
Bend over and place the fingertips on the floor right under the shoulders. Bend the knees if necessary. When inhaling, lift trunk and head parallel to the floor. Exhale in three-parts, lowering head and trunk towards the floor in three equal parts.
1-2 minutes
Gift
This pumping motion activates the spinal fluid up and down the spine and through the brain. Allows your legs and spine to stretch. The enhanced breath helps release overwhelming feelings.

Or this one is great too.

Recession 101

August 19th, 2009 — 9:30pm

Recession 101

I saw this great billboard yesterday and it said Recession 101 under that read: Self worth or Net worth. I realize it is a teaser sign and more information will be coming to sell us the sell. Yet I loved it and wanted to add why choose. We can have, we must have, and we deserve and desire to have both. No, they are not inalienable rights but they are bookends. One makes us more secure on the earth the other makes us more connected to all. One honors the currency of the earth and the other honors the currency of the true self.

Do you know anyone who is truly happy worrying about where the next dollar is coming from to pay the bills? Do you know anyone with low self worth that is making an impact and uplifting others? I realize there are some Sadhu’s who can pull off the no net worth thing but my teacher spoke of the vastness of God and that it was not spiritual to be struggling financially. He had a great saying OPI/OPM Other people’s ideas other people’s money. He did very well living by that mantra. Very well indeed.

Think about it. How can you get net worth and self worth to work for you? Ideas are always out there it is the person who gets it and acts on it that creates the next great _ _ _ you name it. Microsoft, Credit cards, which by the way make more money that Microsoft, MacDonalds and Wal-Mart, combined. If the people who get the ideas work with you or you get the ideas and actualize them then great. If people bring their ideas to you then you really score. You can help yourself, the person who brought it to you and the world all. Much bigger.

We don’t have to get all the ideas, we don’t have to make all the money with hard work and stress. What if we worked together and co-created. Did you ever notice that there are things you are really good at some things you are okay at and other things you are not good at and then there is the category of things “I don’t want to do no matter how good I am at it”. The great things about co-creating is that you will attract the parts you can’t or don’t want to do.

A new friend of mine was saying that a mutual friend told her that if she would help him get into a paid speaking engagement in conferences he was happy to pay her 10% She was asking me if I thought that was okay to do. I told her not only was it fair for her to make something but I would be only too glad to do the same with her. She was amazed. I was amazed, professional booking agents take much more than that right! It is the working together. Some people want to speak some want to promote. I know there are agencies you can hire but when things come together organically great things can happen. Many of the best scripts came from a road trip or party or some impromptu gathering. Some of the best promotions happened when people are not focusing on it at the moment and it “pops” into their heads.

Look around your world and see where is the OPI/OPM? Who around you has great ideas but never acts on them? Can you help them act? Who can? Are you the one who knows how to organize things or are you the big vision person or the creator of content. Look with all your senses and see who you new partners are in this new co-creation.

Blessings

Stress and hope

August 17th, 2009 — 11:47am

What do you do when more is required?

Recently I have been traveling so much I have just not bothered to take my suitcase out of my bedroom. Why drag it downstairs, yes we do have stairs in some houses in Los Angeles to put it away and then bring it back up 3-5 days later. Travel is wonderful. I love it. Travel is exhausting I don’t love it.
Also noticed that I don’t like me or much else when I am deeply exhausted.
Have you noticed that? Some of us get cranky, some get nasty, some weepy
But none of us get kinder, more loving, or caring when exhausted. So what to do? I want to speak directly to travel and conferences etc.

It’s not just the travel but when you go to conferences, seminars, retreats there are a tendency to want to be part of it all. Not to miss a class or session and then of course we need to schedule meetings in-between all of that. With people you need to connect with and people who need to connect with you. So we usually fill every minute including meals no grace space. Create Spaces and places where you can rejuvenate yourself. Essential oils are very helpful I spray my room as soon as I arrive and keep on spraying others and myself. Great smells make us breath. Breath is a good thing.

I am always amazed but the lack of yummy and nutritious food served at these events. They want us to don our majic capes, gather our super powers and power ourselves with what?

After the last six weeks I have come up with a plan that has sustained me most of the time. Make time to meditate even if only 20 minutes, get some exercise every day and I don’t mean walking between rooms that does not count, bring healthy snacks, find out where the local Trader Joes and health food stores are and then go there. Oh order a fridge for your room so you can keep real food there. Have things that will give you energy including your vitamins. Lots of Adrenal support, B vitamins for the vegetarians, minerals and a good (food grown or clinical nutrient) variety of vitamins, not from the drug store they won’t sustain you. Then have some meetings where you walk and talk meaning that you find somewhere you can take a walk to while you connect. So much sitting no only give us big butts but it makes us have sluggy circulation.

One of my new friends became an internet millionaire by 30 but he was glued to his desk and put on 60 pounds. Yiikes, that is like being pregnant right? He has since released it and is looking for ways to maintain a much healthier lifestyle. And you? What are you doing to get up and get going? Is it on the dos or don’ts list? Meaning is it good for you long term or is it just a short term band-aid?

I want to live my life as if I was going to die tomorrow and yet have plans that will take another 50 years to do, contribute, serve, care for, delight in, enjoy and deeply love it all. And you? It ain’t as long as we think but when exhausted it seems to drag on forever. Make a pledge with me lets fight back and say yes to things that will take us the distance. I challenge you to make a list of things that will sustain and support you when you travel and one for every day. Then pick your top 5 and commit to do them. Tell someone else so they will help you with them. We are all more fun and productive when not exhausted. Exalted not exhausted. For tips

Judith Orloff’s new book

August 13th, 2009 — 1:15pm

Are You Emotionally Free?
Adapted from Dr. Judith Orloff’s new book “Emotional Freedom: Liberate Yourself From Negative Emotions and Transform Your Life” (Harmony Books, 2009)

Our society is in the midst of an emotional meltdown. People are restless, volatile, our tempers about to blow. In the past year, Prozac was prescribed for over thirty million people. Domestic violence occurs in one out of six of households. Half of our marriages end in divorce.

None of this is how we want life to be. Our pressure cooker society pushes us to our emotional limits. We deserve relief from getting crucified by daily stresses. This book empowers you to attain this high quality of life and to handle stress artfully. I’m excited to present practical new tools for mastering your emotions in our hyper-tense world. It’s lunacy to put up with being chronically anxious, fatigued, or depressed as so many of us have. I rebel against that cheerless status quo, and hope you will too.

Emotional Freedom offers the answer to reclaiming your happiness and heart. What is emotional freedom? It means increasing your ability to love by cultivating positive emotions and compassionately witnessing and transforming negative ones. It means keeping your center without absorbing the negativity of others. These fundamental living skills liberate you from fear and let you navigate adversity without attacking, losing your cool, or being derailed by it.

I wrote this book because, as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA, I work in a mainstream medical system where the spiritual/intuitive aspects of emotions aren’t understood. During my UCLA psychiatric training, we treated depression and anxiety, as biochemical imbalances requiring medication. I’d meet with patients for fifteen minutes every few weeks, write a prescription, then send them home. Though I never saw medications as the whole solution, I saw many patients experience at least partial “symptom relief,” an undeniable relief of suffering. However, in the next two decades of medical practice, I’ve learned that emotional freedom involves much, much more.

The intellect, stunning as it may be, has restricted vision when it comes to emotions. This is why bringing intuition to the feeling-realm is so liberating. Intuition is a potent wisdom not mediated by the linear mind–a practical, smart, decision-making aid. Intuition can be a hunch, a dream, a “knowing,” specific guidance, a gut feeling, or a warning of danger.”

Emotions also have an intuitive language that begs to be decoded in our bodies–“subtle energies” that move through us that can be sensed. These are what Chinese medicine calls “chi,” our vital life force. We feel emotions internally, while their energy expands beyond our bodies. Similarly, other people’s emotional energy impacts us.

Today, I am a woman who travels many worlds. My approach to emotional freedom blends traditional and nontraditional realms. In this book, I’ll discuss the four major components of emotions that shape your health and mood: biology, subtle energy, psychology, and spirituality. We must appreciate that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. It’s impossible to grasp how we tick emotionally without a cosmic perspective; everything about us, including our biology, is an expression of the divine. Seeing emotions as a training ground for the soul—a path to spiritual awakening–frames every victory over fear, anxiety, and resentment as a way to develop your spiritual muscles and love more.

A first step towards achieving emotional freedom is to know where you currently stand. Here is a sample from “The Emotional Freedom Test” in my book. It’s a self-assessment tool covering a range of positive and negative emotions. It will help you identify ways you typically respond to a variety of emotionally charged situations in your life today, including the most mundane. It’ll highlight your strong points and those in need of loving attention.

Take The Emotional Freedom Test
(Take the complete test in Chapter 1 Emotional Freedom)

Not True Sometimes True Mostly True

0 1 2
1. If I’m angry with someone, I’ll breathe and
center myself before I react. _____ _____ _____

2. When I’m filled with self-doubt or fear
I treat myself lovingly. _____ _____ ¬¬¬ _____

3. When stuck in traffic or if something
doesn’t happen on my timetable, I
have patience. _____ _____ _____

4. After a hard day, I focus on what I’m
grateful for rather than beating myself up
for what has gone wrong. _____ _____ _____

5. I have empathy for others but I don’t
become their therapist or absorb their
emotional pain. _____ _____ _____
How to Interpret the Test:
A score of 10 suggests you are experiencing a considerable degree of emotional freedom in your life.
A score of 5-9 suggests a moderate level
A score of 4 or below suggests a beginning level
A zero score (and it takes courage to admit that) indicates that emotional freedom has been elusive in your life but you can start finding it now!

To be free you must go inside. A defining moment of emotional freedom is when you begin to become more conscious of who you are and your motivations. You’re awakening–that’s what counts. It sends a message to all things negative within that their days of usurping your serenity are numbered.

Judith Orloff MD is author of the new book “Emotional Freedom: Liberate Yourself From Negative Emotions and Transform Your Life (Harmony Books, 2009),” upon which this article is based. Her other bestsellers are Positive Energy, Intuitive Healing, and Second Sight. Dr. Orloff synthesizes the pearls of traditional medicine with cutting edge knowledge of intuition, energy, and spirituality.

The sky is falling the sky is falling

August 8th, 2009 — 3:35pm

The sky is falling the sky is falling

Do you remember that fairy tale of chicken little who was always in a state of fear and at the least provocation would yell, “The sky is falling the sky is falling.” I think many of us feel this way right now the, what next syndrome. One of my clients who is very stoic, she is from Russia for God’s sake and knows stoic said she just came home from a run in the with bank the other day and just wept from the pressure. She said she felt the pressure pressing down upon her. Another very intelligent, perceptive, businessman friend of mine is having terrible back problems. He is walking and doing yoga and that is his relief but sitting which he needs to be doing lots of to launch this big venture is as close to hell as he has ever been or ever wants to be.

Unless you are Mr. Vladimir Putin or Bill Clinton bathing in the light may not be part of your business life. When they say that Sex and money is what makes the world go round you also realize how interconnected they are. No not prostitution just life. When there is little money women get insecure and not “ion the mood.” Lots of time but no mood. When there is little sex men get very impatient and angry unless they have ways of being able to release their stress others ways than sex. This is the time to shine allowing the pressure to press us on to other things. Press us into service to ourselves and others. Press us into the immediacy of knowing how to change our state or mind and heart on the spot.

We are at the heart of change but lets face it we love the concept but few people really love the process. It is uncomfortable because there is soooo much unknown. We speak of managing change but that is really like hearding cats. In business it usually means lay offs or managing the bottom line, money. It has little do to with hueman needs or feelings. You are stuck with managing them on your own unless your company is truly progressive and know you are the most important part of their process. If that is true you are fortunate. Either way you need to know that and know how to get back to the best of you as quickly as possible.
