What price Joy?

It’s funny that sometimes we work so hard and little seems to come of it and then pop. Things arise from nowhere. Things you never though of come and things that you have been pushing up the hill must be laid to rest.

I have found in my life and observing those around me, that there truly are seasons. When we miss the internal changing of the leaves or the guard we miss great chances.

Sometimes we get so fixated on what needs to be done or happen or or or that we loose the opportunity that shows up unexpectedly, spontaneously.

I want to share something with you that I hope you will incorporate into your life to clear the spiderwebs from your brain and allow JOY. Joy is a big word. It means having fun with what is. Finding the fun where it does not seem to reside.

I had a recent experience that really work me up. This last year I have worked harder than I can remember. I have “Lots to show for it ” I’m also tired and ready to play. To find the play of the infinite so I was sent, express mail a great playmate who wants to take me places. To give me space to relax and be so I can get what is truly next, so I can be more joyously effective. This is what I needed what to you need to be in JOY?

Here is somethings I hope will help clear your hear and heart so you can be open to allowing the majic in. To allow what wants to dance with you in the area or areas you have closed shop.

Stand with legs wide open. The stiffer you feel, the wider you should spread the legs.

Bend over and place the fingertips on the floor right under the shoulders. Bend the knees if necessary. When inhaling, lift trunk and head parallel to the floor. Exhale in three-parts, lowering head and trunk towards the floor in three equal parts.

How are you managing your most valuable asset?

Your energy is that most valuable asset.

It has been a wild ride these last few weeks 7 cities in 8 weeks. Then all the added things like a sister who has stage 5 cancer, a 93 year old father who has decided he wants to take back managing his finances, throw in wasp nests of many styles including the real thing, a web guy can’t call him a master good heart but missed changing my e mail link with paypal and that means no sales they all go out into the abyss. Ahhhh Thank God for the breath. I so know I am not the only one with a few challenges these days. What to do?

Time to know that we all are that mixture of dark and light. It’s all about where you put your time and energy to build, define, refine. What helps us do that is the deal and it needs to be fast these days it’s can’t take 2.5 hours anymore it needs to change our states on the spot.

Actually there is the full length what you do first thing in the AM how you arise sets your day your mindset and your connections. What do you do during the day to rejuvenate yourself and bring back to neutral non reactive? I have some tricks to share.

After 40 years of teaching yoga and meditation, doing healing work, running businesses and building communities I have a few tricks to share. Are you open to utilizing them?

1. I keep my yoga mat next to my desk so I just take mini breaks during the day.
2. I exercise every day. A 30 minute swim or roller blade so yoga every day
3. I pay attention and eat when hungry. So days very little and others graze
4. What I eat is as important as when and how. What do you need to be eating?
5. Alkaline is all it’s pumped up to be. It keeps you young

Hunched over your desk not breathing is not a way of life it is a way of death. Are you dying? What are you doing to live? My father today asked me “What are you doing to have fun” I realized in telling him the things I was doing in the next few days that I love most of what I get to do and who I get to do it with. This is the life I want for each of you.
I will not tell you if you do this you will never get tired but I will tell you that you will have more energy because you are source connected. It is the key to co-creation.

Connect first thing in the morning and keep bringing yourself back to that connected state.

The sky is falling the sky is falling

Do you remember that fairy tale of chicken little who was always in a state of fear and at the least provocation would yell, “The sky is falling the sky is falling.” I think many of us feel this way right now the, what next syndrome. One of my clients who is very stoic, she is from Russia for God’s sake and knows stoic said she just came home from a run in the with bank the other day and just wept from the pressure. She said she felt the pressure pressing down upon her. Another very intelligent, perceptive, businessman friend of mine is having terrible back problems. He is walking and doing yoga and that is his relief but sitting which he needs to be doing lots of to launch this big venture is as close to hell as he has ever been or ever wants to be.

Unless you are Mr. Vladimir Putin or Bill Clinton bathing in the light may not be part of your business life. When they say that Sex and money is what makes the world go round you also realize how interconnected they are. No not prostitution just life. When there is little money women get insecure and not “ion the mood.” Lots of time but no mood. When there is little sex men get very impatient and angry unless they have ways of being able to release their stress others ways than sex. This is the time to shine allowing the pressure to press us on to other things. Press us into service to ourselves and others. Press us into the immediacy of knowing how to change our state or mind and heart on the spot.

We are at the heart of change but lets face it we love the concept but few people really love the process. It is uncomfortable because there is soooo much unknown. We speak of managing change but that is really like hearding cats. In business it usually means lay offs or managing the bottom line, money. It has little do to with hueman needs or feelings. You are stuck with managing them on your own unless your company is truly progressive and know you are the most important part of their process. If that is true you are fortunate. Either way you need to know that and know how to get back to the best of you as quickly as possible.

Want to know the Secret behind HOPE?

H.O.P.E. Want to find out what secret is encoded in this?

Hope is one of my favorite words and it is at a premium right now. Many people have lost their hope and can’t seem to find it. They want someone else or something to give them hope. Good I want to share mine with you. I do want to tell you one thing. You may not like what I’m going to say but hope is contagious. If you want to be hopeful you have to fill yourself up with hope and you have to keep the company of the hopeful.

How do you fill up with hope when it seems like we can recite all the reasons not to be hopeful. There appear many reasons to doubt hope at this moment. Yet…. when we get hopeless we loose our E. our energy goes down the tube and we have a name for this. Depression. The D word is not a part of hope and it renders us very lethargic.

What is hopeful about these times? Everything is being transformed. That is both scary and exciting. You don’t have to choose one or the other it often fluctuates back and forth between the two. The old is caving in on itself and we have a chance to rebuild in a new more graciously inclusive way of living. Call it sustainable, call it green, call it pink I don’t care but know it is more connected.

The connection you have to bring to the party called life is invaluable because without it the linking is weaker. You have a key to all this and it can only be discovered by you. Use all the help you want and need to uncover it. Truth be told you are the holder of it and only you can bring it forth. Others can help awaken it and structure it with and for you but you and you alone are your brand. This does not mean you have to do this alone. Quite the contrary this is not the time for alone. It is the time for alone.

1. You have to know what you have to offer. The knowingness comes from being, meditating allowing the vision.
2. You have to be able to look around and see who can support you in bringing this forward. Might be different people at different stages.
3. Look at what parts and people you need to make this happen or look at what is happening and see how you can bring your gifts to something already in existance.
4. This is not a static process. 1,2,3, done.

Sitali Breath
Breathe out that stress…

Roll the tongue and stick it past your lips. If you cannot roll it, just make an “O” shape with your mouth with the tongue protruding slightly beyond the lips. Breathe in deeply through the mouth. Exhale slowly through the nose emptying the lungs all the way.

The best anti-stress breath available. The breath passing over the wet tongue creates a cooling effect.

To get some knowingness going it requires vision, to get vision you need stillness, to have stillness you must loose the anxiety, to loose the anxiety you must have yoga (that which connects and unites you), to allow yoga you must have enough self-worth intact, to have self-worth you need support, to ask for support requires knowing that you need it. Do you want your skinny back?# 6

Rule #5 Get real and realistic with your feelings.

Wow! Or as I would say Wahe Guru (The eternal, invincible WOW)
As you go through this process not just read about it but truly embark on the “dealing with emotions barge” I applaud you. Why because there is a reason you have the weight on in the first place. Again I don’t care where you are carrying your weight and I don’t mean body parts I mean your dead cows can manifest or womanfest as physical weight, mental weight, emotional weight, and psychic weight. We carry it around knowing we have it or unconsciously not really knowing.

When you loose weight something truly amazing happens that no one prepares you for. You feel more. You feel everything more. Great news is you are more aware of how you feel and how everyone else feels.
Not so great news is we were never taught what to do with ALL those feelings. This is what you fortified yourself against now a new journey, both exciting and scary. I want to help you have some tools to deal with all these sensations so you don’t choose to cover them up with sugar or caffeine or some other drug of choice.

Aside: If you forget something you need or want to remember I want to offer you two effective techniques for bringing something that has (slipped out the back door) home. One is an NLP technique that they stole from the yogi’s right, just look up and sit or stand with the thought you want to retrieve. It will appear as if by majic. Another way is take your baby or Mercury fingers and interlink them with each other and pull thinking of what it is you need to recall. Again usually comes a calling.
When you feel overwhelmed by emotions your tendency may be to cry or stuff it, or get angry or ______- fill it in. I would like you to try one of these breathing techniques. Just for a couple minutes. Practice it now and every day a couple times a day just so it will be on your hard drive when you need it.

Four Part Breath: Miracle Breath
Blow your stress away!

Sitting up straight, inhale through the mouth, filling your lungs in four equal parts—starting the breath as low as possible in the abdomen. Exhale through the mouth in four equal parts, from the upper chest down. If you feel relaxed you can do this exercise breathing through the nose. Repeat the cycle.

1-3 minutes

Gift
Instantly reduces stress, so you may see a situation more objectively. Helps dissolve overwhelming feelings.

The other breath is called
Sipping breath: This is very easy, just make your mouth like you have a straw in your mouth and inhale through the straw like lips. Exhale through your nose.
1-3 minutes

Will take you into a very relaxed space to feel more connected to you.

Lighten Up:
This comes from a friend of mine. Start a lighten up journal.
1. When things get challenging write it down and then look at what the possible light could be in the situation.
2. Write down what you would do to make lite of this situation. Use your sense of humor.
3. Write down what you can turn this into. Light, lite, life lite, lite life

Move:

You need to move your body every day, movement rocks. Not just walking. Get extreme. Do yoga till you sweat, swim a mile, roller blade, dance, run, jump, roll down hills but do whatever you choose for a MINIUM yes MINIUM of 40 minutes/day. Love what you do and do what you love. If you don’t love any of it get your person and go to a class or have a different class partner. No, not a study class and exercise class of some kind where you are accountable for not only showing up but also doing the work.

There is a great saying: “ Show up. Do the work and don’t be attached to the results. Each part is the most challenging when you are in that stage.

This is your mantra for exercise. Best if you like it but even if you don’t get an accountability partner who will go with you and make it happen with and for you. No they cannot exercise for you.

I can say 1000000000 things about the benefits of movement. I can tell you I am 60 and greatful that my body is flexible and strong and I want that for each of you. This can also be a deep quite time for you depending on what you choose or a fun connective time. Have several options. Opting out is not one of them.

Are you feeling depressed, anxious, fearful?

What do you do when you are depressed, anxious, upset?

I have great tips on how to release all these energy’s that is what I do as the Energy Guru. Now I want to recommend a partner_ just being with the feeling.

This is much harder than trying to banish it into the far reaches of our consciousness. I like the banishing the evil (ha) feeling and yet…. So much to be learned by being with the discomfort till it has had its say.

1.We don’t listen to others we just sorta pay lip service while we multitask.

2. We also don’t listen to ourselves deeply.

3. We know how to keep ourselves caffeineated, busy, and overwhelmed (easy to do know with so much calling on us).

4. We know how to solve other people’s problems easily and quickly
our own a little more challenging.

I don’t suffer from depression but the last couple days have been very low energy I have felt depressed. As if I was learning something deeply uncomfortable. What depression is really like? It is not fun. I don’t think it is meant to be. It takes courage to sit and breath into it. Awaiting some sonar message. The I Ching said Natural Response yet depression doesn’t feel natural. It goes with you everywhere you go and robs you of the joys of life. Yet all robbers have a motive. Some to make themselves wealthy, some to survive, some to see if they can really do it and on… What is your current robber saying to you?
Be it depression, anxiety, overwhelm, lack of support etc.

1. Sit with a note pad and take notes from it. It could be a great teacher.
2. Breath into it and give it more life stretch the boundaries. I love sitali breath.

3. Make time and space to be with this feeling.

Get in a tub, or in nature with your back against a tree or somewhere comfortable you can be for a while and invite it in as if it were a great and worthy visitor.

Remember it came to teach you something. If you can learn from it you don’t have to dull your senses to try and get away from it.

4. Learn how to be uncomfortably comfortable. It is an art. We usually make everyone around us uncomfortable with us. This is a much more quite deep stance. Be in it not of it. Becoming personally impersonal with the experience.

It doesn’t need to consume you. But running will just make it track you
down.

How can you help others if you can’t be with the hard things yourself? This age requires we teach, share uplift from having known and experienced not from some more remote learning experience. It has valuable lessons

Then you must get out and move. Move it through you. Run, rollerblade, swim, dance, swing, bike move and move it all out of your being. I recommend this at the end of the movement cycle.

Claw Dance
Two steps for radiant, charismatic energy

Round and tighten fingers in long clawed-like hands.
Come up tall on your toes swinging the arms out to the sides and up over the head in a big arc motion. Breath in on the way up while saying “WHO”. Next, squat down while the arms are swinging downward in a big arc. Exhale saying “LA” on the way down. Keep repeating these 2 steps.

Round up and tighten fingers to mimic long claws. Starting tall on tip toes, swing the arms up over the head in a big arc motion. Inhale on the way up while saying “WHO”.
Exhale saying “LA” while squatting down and swinging the arms down in a big arc.
Keep repeating these 2 steps.

1-2 minutes

Gift
Strengthens thighs and increases energy. Replenishes your energy field and expands awareness. Helps clears the mind when facing challenges.

Then Bless yourself and acknowledge that you did something truly challenging that will stand you well in many facets of your life when
troubles come a knocken which they will, wearing different outfits to see if they can make us throw a fit. Decline! Remember what you know and use it

What if you knew the secrets to life and the future?

Imagine that these times are for forming clubs, communities,
new forms of interactions. What if we could imagine ( I image) how these new formations were influencing the future? You can. You just need to clear some physic space and breath in. The relaxed physic is where we get the Big vision hits.

I did an art project last year with three words. WE BE ME. I must admit I would not find the typeface on Word to express what I saw with these three words. In the font I choose to work with they were all the same letter except for the line on the “B”. ME BE WE, BE ME WEEE, WE BE ME. All true. The truth is the coming together and supporting each other is here. What is not clear is how to take those couple steps back and see, hear, feel, know where the best investment of your energy is. There is so much calling out to us and calling on us that we usually stop breathing and dive in as if we were underwater. Holding our breath for dear life.

I take a forced, forced by myself, leave every afternoon to rollerblade. I have my yoga mat close to my desk and do hand stands throughout the day. What do you do to clear your head? We need forced clearings so the cerebral spinal fluid gets to do what it wants to do to stay juicy, go zipping up and down the spine clearing the brain out literally brain washing us. Wow! knowing how to wash out our own brains is essential. We wash everything else from clothes, to car, to house but our own brains we just expect to have
infinite hard drive space and we keep on stacking.

The secret is you are made or broken by your habits. You can only fake it for so long. Now the transparency factor is so much greater it takes about a fraction of a second to catch up with us all. You mess up, you create an excellent …, you cheat, you support it is spread all over the internet like jelly on a PB&J sandwich. So lets use that factor to spread the change plan. Are you ready to create your own change plan that can and will give you instant access to hope? Repeat that pattern over and over again each day and you will have a supportive habit. Follow onward.

Are you willing to cash in an old pattern for something that will support you? Ahh were it so easy. We could start the pattern shift store and I bet it would prosper in these times. Cash in one habit for another. Good news is we can change patterns and the first part of that change is recognizing that the old beast isn’t working, that we want something better. I guarantee you will feel much better than you do right now and it takes only 1-3 minutes so don’t tell me you don’t have time you are reading this so you must. Give your entire being a boost. Try one or two and then pass them on to others so we expand this community of people helping people to become true Hue Man Beings. That our light may start to pour in and out and that we light up each other’s lives. May we set each other’s minds on fire with our brilliance, support the fire. and create the light to see into the vastness of the future together.

What is after the 1 minute manager?

What’s after the 1-minute manager?

I heard this term by the “Made to stick” brothers whose names are not sticking right now, feather stretch. It means doing something for a very short period of time that we usually agree you must do for longer. Examples are like setting a clock for 5 minutes and cleaning the dirtiest room in the house but only for 5 minutes or exercising in front of the TV for 1 minute for an overwhelmed mom but only for 1 minute. Tiny things that allow people to think that can do it. Micro programs to give hope and start people wanting more of whatever it is. The wanting creates the capacity to change the habits or create the new ones.

I started this Energy Gurus work about 3 years ago on the same theme. Giving people things they could do at the office or at work that could change their energy in micro doses. Now everyone needs these techinques not just corporate executives.

I want to share with you how I learned to meditate and it was not in one minute doses. My teacher used to give us meditation for 2 ½ hours. Yes that is right. No not broken up into chunks during the day.. one sit. We did it or at least I can speak for myself I did it. Really many of us did, hundreds maybe thousands of us. Now when people are wiling to meditate they want the mini pack, economy pack for food and mini packs for meditation. I gauge what they can handle or think they can and then try stretching it a bit. If I give a meditation to someone and say do this for 22 minutes and they glaze over or cringe I don’t ask them how long they will do it for I usually play with them and say okay then 31 minutes if they moan I go to 62. They either settle on 22 minutes or we see where they can stretch time and space to have 31 minutes or even 11 minutes. We are going for some soul time

1-2 minutes is what I want to give you. Relief from overwhelm, fear, depression, guilt, the list in 1-2 minutes. This is the new 1-minute manager.
How to manage your energy in 1-2 minutes, actually how to change your energy in 1-2 minutes. Will you do this? Will you give yourself 1-2 minutes
to start changing your habit patterns? If you made it this far then try this it will get your energy moving trust me or not just do it and then trust you.

Finger Tips Release
Relief for over-worked hands and brains

Hands facing, join fingertips with light pressure. Move hands in and out by bending the fingers.
A variation is to lightly tap the fingertips or move the fingertips around in very small light circles.

The stimulation of fingers never endings activate various glands in the brain. Helps feel more lively and relaxed.
