Happiness VS????

We can say happiness vs sadness or depression or hopelessness but really happiness VS nothing. Happiness is encoded in each of us. With every breath, with every thought, with every word, we are evoking the God’s of whatever we are focusing upon. I know you have all heard this before but if we had really heard it we would all be liberated.

Happiness is encoded in us. Yogi Bhajan used to say it was our birthright. If it is so then that means it is part of our DNA. We came in with Happiness as a cellular experience. We get to yes get to choose if we will live to that.

I want to share with you my practices that bring me back from whatever recesses claim my attention that create something other than happiness. Happiness means you trust the Universe is truly giving you what you need to excel and merge.

1. I meditate and yes sometimes I must say it is not enough in that moment. Sometimes I need to be in and with it longer.

2. I exercise.

3. I call someone who will not lecture me but will bring me back to my essence of trust and hope because of who they are and who they know I am. It is not the same person.

4. I read something funny or watch something funny Youtube is a blessing

5. I read Hafiz “Hey Beloved my heart is a raging volcano of love for you. You’d better start kissing me or else” I love getting bossy with God.

6. I see who I can inspire or uplift.

7. I am willing to be unhappy for awhile to let it show me the root that needs to be released.

8. I sing, I chant, something I love that is lively and hopeful and will change my DNA

The sky is falling the sky is falling

Do you remember that fairy tale of chicken little who was always in a state of fear and at the least provocation would yell, “The sky is falling the sky is falling.” I think many of us feel this way right now the, what next syndrome. One of my clients who is very stoic, she is from Russia for God’s sake and knows stoic said she just came home from a run in the with bank the other day and just wept from the pressure. She said she felt the pressure pressing down upon her. Another very intelligent, perceptive, businessman friend of mine is having terrible back problems. He is walking and doing yoga and that is his relief but sitting which he needs to be doing lots of to launch this big venture is as close to hell as he has ever been or ever wants to be.

Unless you are Mr. Vladimir Putin or Bill Clinton bathing in the light may not be part of your business life. When they say that Sex and money is what makes the world go round you also realize how interconnected they are. No not prostitution just life. When there is little money women get insecure and not “ion the mood.” Lots of time but no mood. When there is little sex men get very impatient and angry unless they have ways of being able to release their stress others ways than sex. This is the time to shine allowing the pressure to press us on to other things. Press us into service to ourselves and others. Press us into the immediacy of knowing how to change our state or mind and heart on the spot.

We are at the heart of change but lets face it we love the concept but few people really love the process. It is uncomfortable because there is soooo much unknown. We speak of managing change but that is really like hearding cats. In business it usually means lay offs or managing the bottom line, money. It has little do to with hueman needs or feelings. You are stuck with managing them on your own unless your company is truly progressive and know you are the most important part of their process. If that is true you are fortunate. Either way you need to know that and know how to get back to the best of you as quickly as possible.

Stand with legs wide open. The stiffer you feel, the wider you should spread the legs.
Bend over and place the fingertips on the floor right under the shoulders. Bend the knees if necessary. When inhaling, lift trunk and head parallel to the floor. Exhale in three-parts, lowering head and trunk towards the floor in three equal parts.

1-2 minutes

Gift
This pumping motion activates the spinal fluid up and down the spine and through the brain. Allows your legs and spine to stretch. The enhanced breath helps release overwhelming feelings.

What do you do when you hit the wall

What happens when you hit the wall?

A friend of mine did a facebook post today that said if you fall down 7 times you get up eight times. So true, so easy to say. This last weekend seemed like Chicken Little’s mantra of, the sky is falling the sky is falling was happening. One friend burnt some oil and was carrying it outside when it created a flash fire and burnt her hand and arm badly, another had 8 feet of water in her basement in Los Angeles with her husbands total memorabilia collection housed there by her-fireworks and lots of work, my sweet grandson pulled boiling tea down on my grand-daughter’s stomach causing second degree burns and much consternation on all fronts he had no idea of what happened and she mucho pain, my sister got stage 4 prognosis for her newly discovered cancer, and on and on. I was on a board for a community in distress and loved the fact that through much prayer, meditation and action is starting to move in an open direction. Wahe Guru! Forgot a student’s husband who had a heart attack while riding his bike. Saved but angioplasty not fun and his words to all were, “Deal with your stresses. I have a pretty good diet, exercise and now need to deal with my stress better.”

We all know we have to withstand the test of the times but sometimes they just feel like they are all too much and they are going to take us down. I want you to do something just for you and your future.

Make a list of what you need to get through your biggest tests.
What do you wish you could do?
What have you done in the past that works?
What have you done that has not worked?
What things do you have that require very little time that help?
What thinks need more time 1 hr to 1 week to help?

Here are a few things I want to offer you that I have found helpful and trust me these times are sparing no one.

I keep my yoga mat right by my desk and get up and do hand stands all day long. I drink lots of liquids and not coffee. I drink peppermint water, teas of all kinds, lemon water trying to keep hydrated and have fun with it. Also the alkaline factor is important to me so I eat alkaline foods. Most fruits, most veggies, most nuts, seeds, buckwheat, quinoa, millet, long grain brown rice, amaranth. Try to cook in batches so I don’t just open the fridge and hope that some mysterious guest has come and cooked just what I feel like eating. I also schedule lunch meetings at my house so I can make food that I will have for a day or two. Plus it is a great environment to meet in. It is calm and easy to connect in.

Create environments that make people feel relaxed be it your office or home. Yes if you have lots of children at home just make sure you have one spot that is yours, your sanctuary. It doesn’t have to be a room it can just be a section of a room and then declare it as yours and stick to it. When you are there it is your time out no disturbances. Can be your bathtub, a chair in your yard or balcony, a chair or spot in your bedroom or an entire room.

Here are a couple of other things that may just help you as they do me.
Easy and helps your immune system.

Thymus Thump
Wake up the Great Guardian

Place the right hand next to the sternum just above the breast. With a loose wrist and tight fingers start tapping this spot powerfully. If sore tap a little longer.

2-3 minutes

Gift
Helps maintain a good health; stimulates your thymus gland, which governs cellular immunity. Activates rebalancing pressure point.

Good stretch

Arm Lifts
Reach up for relief from eyes to base of spine

Sitting up straight, lift both arms overhead and interlock thumbs. From there you can do several exercises:
• Twisting the torso, inhale left and exhale right. Repeat motion rhythmically.
• Shoulder shrugs; inhale lifting the shoulders up toward the ears, exhale letting the shoulders down. Repeat shrugs rhythmically.
• Eye exercises; inhale deeply and rotate the eyes in a counter clockwise motion as long as you can hold the breath. Exhale. Next inhale, repeat the exercise switching the directions. Exhale. Then inhale again moving the eyes diagonally, upper left to lower right. Exhale. Inhale and switch. Lastly, move the eyes up and down while holding the breath.

1-2 minutes for twisting and shrugs. 30-45 seconds for eye exercise.

Gift
Stretches and opens the spine. Relieves eye stress and strain. Stimulates lymph glands. Helps clear the mind.

Get up and move we so need to move stress through and out of us.

What is the pressure of these times doing for you?

What is the pressure of these times doing to and for you?

Some days push us to the limits in many ways. Some days we feel pulled in the million different directions. Some days feel like we are in the flow and everything goes as planned or even better than planned. This is the push and pull of life, the pressures that transform us. We are right now in a time of transition. Can you tell? Everything seems as if it is falling apart and we are not sure what is going to come out of this some think a mess I think a great, powerful, necessary shift.

My dear friend who is a great accountant with his doctorate from Harvard in accounting said last year at this time he had an assignment to submit a bank proposal for a client. Yes in these times a proposal to start a bank. He knew nothing about this industry and didn’t think it would be that hard. 1 year of hard work teaming up with his son and several other banking people being mercilessly pushed by the person he was doing this for they are submitting all the paper work this week. I too met a wall a year ago I knew nothing about web 2.0 it may not be the banking system but it required me to go to uncomfortable places and stretch into places that were not second nature not even fifth nature to me. Am I glad I did it? Yes I am but I think if I like my friend knew ahead of time how hard it would be we might have just said no thank you. I think I can live without doing this.

Life has a great way of sneaking up on us and showing us something we want or know we need but not showing us the true price tag of that item, that lesson, that product other wise we would just say skip it. Tooo hard. Yet the real question is not about can we start an online business or bank or anything else. The real question is not have you created a Purple Cow but have you created a Golden Calf that shines in all direction for more than just your lifetime. Have you used your energy to create a life, a business, and a relationships, worth living. Who are you uplifting? What have you unearthed in your essence that is priceless? Have you shared this?

Do you know anyone right now that needs more stuff? Do you know anyone right now that needs more hope? How are you offering co-creation? How are you digging deep and uplifting others? What is your business doing to create a future for the children being born now? What is your vision of the future? Is it one of hope or terror or both? What are you doing to help make the hopeful part of that vision a reality?

My sisters pending mortality is making me look at all mortality. Not what we are remembered for because we will just be a name at best. The real question is how have we transformed this place we came to as visitors. What have we done to give the future generations not only hope but the silver cord to pull themselves up by? The cord that will help them to rejuvenate and regenerate themselves in sustainable ways. The Sustainable factor has encoded within it the capacity to create not only hope but also ways of thinking and living that will foster new visions, new ways of design, new ways of living, working, seeing, being. What are you adding to this mix?

I’m not just asking this to hear myself ask I truly want to know because one thing I do know this is not about the great Avatar coming or coming again it is about us working together to transform the old tired, worn out and useless ways of doing things into paths that fit us all. Paths that we feel connected, supported, sustained and from that place we create together a place worth being, a place worth living in and on. Together we create a whole for we are the greatness of the sum or our parts.

Want to know the Secret behind HOPE?

H.O.P.E. Want to find out what secret is encoded in this?

Hope is one of my favorite words and it is at a premium right now. Many people have lost their hope and can’t seem to find it. They want someone else or something to give them hope. Good I want to share mine with you. I do want to tell you one thing. You may not like what I’m going to say but hope is contagious. If you want to be hopeful you have to fill yourself up with hope and you have to keep the company of the hopeful.

How do you fill up with hope when it seems like we can recite all the reasons not to be hopeful. There appear many reasons to doubt hope at this moment. Yet…. when we get hopeless we loose our E. our energy goes down the tube and we have a name for this. Depression. The D word is not a part of hope and it renders us very lethargic.

What is hopeful about these times? Everything is being transformed. That is both scary and exciting. You don’t have to choose one or the other it often fluctuates back and forth between the two. The old is caving in on itself and we have a chance to rebuild in a new more graciously inclusive way of living. Call it sustainable, call it green, call it pink I don’t care but know it is more connected.

The connection you have to bring to the party called life is invaluable because without it the linking is weaker. You have a key to all this and it can only be discovered by you. Use all the help you want and need to uncover it. Truth be told you are the holder of it and only you can bring it forth. Others can help awaken it and structure it with and for you but you and you alone are your brand. This does not mean you have to do this alone. Quite the contrary this is not the time for alone. It is the time for alone.

1. You have to know what you have to offer. The knowingness comes from being, meditating allowing the vision.
2. You have to be able to look around and see who can support you in bringing this forward. Might be different people at different stages.
3. Look at what parts and people you need to make this happen or look at what is happening and see how you can bring your gifts to something already in existance.
4. This is not a static process. 1,2,3, done.

Sitali Breath
Breathe out that stress…

Roll the tongue and stick it past your lips. If you cannot roll it, just make an “O” shape with your mouth with the tongue protruding slightly beyond the lips. Breathe in deeply through the mouth. Exhale slowly through the nose emptying the lungs all the way.

To get some knowingness going it requires vision, to get vision you need stillness, to have stillness you must loose the anxiety, to loose the anxiety you must have yoga (that which connects and unites you), to allow yoga you must have enough self-worth intact, to have self-worth you need support, to ask for support requires knowing that you need it. So knowing
and asking remains at the core of this process. What do you know? What do you know is unknown to you? What help do you want? What do you have to offer?
