Hope is one of my favorite words and it is at a premium right now. Many people have lost their hope and can’t seem to find it. They want someone else or something to give them hope. Good I want to share mine with you. I do want to tell you one thing. You may not like what I’m going to say but hope is contagious. If you want to be hopeful you have to fill yourself up with hope and you have to keep the company of the hopeful.

How do you fill up with hope when it seems like we can recite all the reasons not to be hopeful. There appear many reasons to doubt hope at this moment. Yet…. when we get hopeless we loose our E. our energy goes down the tube and we have a name for this. Depression. The D word is not a part of hope and it renders us very lethargic.

What is hopeful about these times? Everything is being transformed. That is both scary and exciting. You don’t have to choose one or the other it often fluctuates back and forth between the two. The old is caving in on itself and we have a chance to rebuild in a new more graciously inclusive way of living. Call it sustainable, call it green, call it pink I don’t care but know it is more connected.

The connection you have to bring to the party called life is invaluable because without it the linking is weaker. You have a key to all this and it can only be discovered by you. Use all the help you want and need to uncover it. Truth be told you are the holder of it and only you can bring it forth. Others can help awaken it and structure it with and for you but you and you alone are your brand. This does not mean you have to do this alone. Quite the contrary this is not the time for alone. It is the time for alone.

1. You have to know what you have to offer. The knowingness comes from being, meditating allowing the vision.
2. You have to be able to look around and see who can support you in bringing this forward. Might be different people at different stages.
3. Look at what parts and people you need to make this happen or look at what is happening and see how you can bring your gifts to something already in existance.
4. This is not a static process. 1,2,3, done.

Breathe out that stress…

Roll the tongue and stick it past your lips. If you cannot roll it, just make an “O” shape with your mouth with the tongue protruding slightly beyond the lips. Breathe in deeply through the mouth. Exhale slowly through the nose emptying the lungs all the way.

To get some knowingness going it requires vision, to get vision you need stillness, to have stillness you must loose the anxiety, to loose the anxiety you must have yoga (that which connects and unites you), to allow yoga you must have enough self-worth intact, to have self-worth you need support, to ask for support requires knowing that you need it. and asking remains at the core of this process. What do you know? What do you know is unknown to you? What help do you want? What do you have to offer?

Clearing old thoughts

Yesterday I was weeding in my back yard and I had a realization. Weeding the yard is so much easier than weeding out our thoughts. Weeding out unwanted thoughts needs tools. What are your tools for weeding out ineffective thoughts? What about ones that actually take you down? Do you have different tools for each of these?

I’m not into perfect tools I’m into effective ones. Are yours effective?
I want to share some of my favorite tools.

The first one is just to clear your head so you can calm down the chatter or lists, or all the peoples demands.

Hands Shaking
Greetings for a clear mind

Sitting straight, shake the hands on both sides of the head, close to the ears. Keep the wrists loose and the fingers semi tight. For added benefit, close the eyes and focus in the center of brows.

This will not totally change the habitual thoughts but it breaks the pattern in a fun and energetic way that usually has you wanting to come back for more.

I am going to give you another one that is great for breaking patterns. Everything we do is based on our current subconscious patterns and our perceptions come from those patterns. The great news is everything is energy, which means shifting our energy can change our focus, our perceptions, and our mental overload. This one can be done anywhere.
Well almost anywhere better to do in a bathroom, your office, a car but can be done subtlety anywhere. Great to ward off the beginnings of anxiety attacks.

Four Part Breath: Miracle Breath
Break up with overwhelming feelings
Blow your stress away

Sitting up straight, inhale through the mouth, filling your lungs in four equal parts—starting the breath as low as possible in the abdomen. Exhale through the mouth in four equal parts, from the upper chest down. If you feel relaxed you can do this exercise breathing through the nose. Repeat the cycle.

Instantly reduces stress, so you may see a situation more objectively. Helps dissolve overwhelming feelings.

With your energy change this is the time to create thoughts backed up by actions that serve you. Do you know when you need to take a break? Do you take it then? Even if it is a bathroom break. Do you know when you really need to eat and what? Do you only eat when hungry or whenever things are available? Let your observer observe you and see if you are serving the totality of you.

Stress isn't sexy or fun. What do you want?

Stress isn’t sexy. Do you want connection?

These times are making us fearful or very hopeful. How hopeful? That is it truly a time calling on us to give our gifts. It is a time calling on us to find our center of calm in the storm of bad news. It is the Chicken Little syndrome. The sky is falling the sky is falling. It was it was hail.

The only way we will get back on our feet is to use our internal muscles and find the soul support that we can link to others. We will NOT get through this alone. We will excel and change unworkable systems together.

Someone told me that the big three automakers descended on Congress
to beg for funds. They all flew in their private planes to get there. If they were really ready to create change they would have taken commercial flights and said planes be gone. They want to keep the old ways going and we are going to fund that? God I hope not but we shall see how much we are truly willing to change.

Are you willing to give up your unsustainable ways? What are you going to put in their place? What do you want to do differently now? What are you passionate about? How are you wiling to look at live differently? Are you ready for new solutions so seep in or blast through you? Then we are ready to create a new way of life that allows us to act as if we are THAT connected. That everything we do matters.

Digesting things and Giving back

Digesting and Giving: The digestive system is amazingly eco friendly. If you feed it the right stuff it takes what it needs and releases the unused products. Feed it the wrong stuff and it bloats, backs up makes you really unhappy. Digesting these times are slightly more complicated. We are being feed a steady diet of last years rancid Halloween candy and expected to function as if it were the best salad ever.

Suggestion: Don’t listen to the news full time even NPR. Give back: Go do phone banking for your candidate. Go visit a hospital and read to sick kids. Go do anything that takes you out of your fear.

Our Brains and our Digestive track are most similar: We need to release the s_ _ _ in both. This week we are focusing on just that. How to feed others and ourselves hope because we have a vision of the future. How to look into the crystal ball of meditation and know how to change our energy levels so we can positively effect the energy levels of the planet.
