It’s true just climb aboard the good ship lolly pop. Is it time that we all want something fun and soothing to suck on we will take whatever we can even if it just masquerades as close. It’s so interesting that one of the most soothing things you can do is after breathing consciously close your mouth and suck on your own tongue. No it will not taste like a lolly pop but it will sooth you in ways a lolly pop never will. Really suck on your tongue for 3 minutes and you will regain something priceless…. you. Simple, won’t cost you anything yet my bet is you won’t want to do it. why? because it doesn’t cost anything, and is a little weird.
How good can it really be if it is priceless and doesn’t cost. Hmmmm! That one is up to you. I suggest gather your courage and truth is no one can see you soo it so they will have no idea how weird you are being. Really being stressed and not knowing how to get out of it or around it is weird. We all want control yet we don’t sepnd time learning to control the real things in our lives.
Can you control your breath?
Can you control your mouth? What you say and what you eat?
Can you control your mind when it goes off on you?
Can your control your food intake?
Can you control your temper? Your depression?
We try to control our jobs and the “other” people in our lives but we don’t try to control the most basic things in our own grasp. Look at you and see what needs to be controlled. Do you know how to shift your basic states. See the recurring ways you see things and things happen to you and then ask if you can control them? If so how?
We all want fast, easy answers but these are not fast easy questions. You have to answer them just as you have to die. No one else can do it for you. If they could lots of rich people would be paying others to die for them. We want to pay someone to give us the quick life fixes but they aren’t fixes they are just stays of execusion. Really fixes are priceless. They require practice. They are not overnite deals. But if you start now things will be better sooner than if you just put it off or go for band aids of all varieties.
Meditation and movement are two long term fixes. You get to show up each day and take care of the real you. try this super easy one.
Ma Meditation:
Sit in a comfortable position and bring your hands to your heart in prayers pose.
Take a deep breath in and chant “Maaaaa” holding the lips together as long as you
can, keeping the sound in your mouth cave, and then letting it escape with great
delight.
Variation let the lips almost smack together doing short continuous MA’s 3-11 minutes try it priceless.
