This quote by Thomas Paine in 1791 gives you an idea of the timelessness of truth. Oh and just slightly profound. It hit my pro….found spot
“Independence is my happiness, and I view things as they are, without regard to place or person; my country is the world, and my religion is to do good”
I just wanted to sit under it and bask. To uuu and aaa a bit and turn it over like a beautiful stone. Today like most days I like you have chances to live this. Today it was even more real.
I was walking across a busy street in Beverly Hills with Dr. K after lunch and there in the middle of the street right in front of a bus was this pigeon. The pigeon was wobbling around and it’s mate flying frantically like a crazed humming bird above it trying to alert someone to please help her mate back to life and independence. Dr K scooped him, the pigeon I decided it was a hima, nd carried him gently back to the sidewalk. We decided the tree was the best place to let him go.
Immediately the pigeon started his drunken brooken walk towards the street so we brought him back. then this amazing things happened. Mr. Pigeon started throwing up big, actually the largest ones I had ever seen, kernels of corn. Corn who knew corn was lethal to pigeons? He proceeded to eject a couple more kernnels and then he could walk and seemed to need to walk to eject the rest.
At this point someone passing, we had quite the crowd in Beverly Hills watching these two people holding and stroking this pigeon, called our attention to the fact that 30 pigeons had gather on the top of a two story building to watch this entire proceeding. They were cheering their friend and mate on. At that point we knew we could leave and all was okay. It made me realize that we all need to throw something up or out. What do you need to release? Where do you feel safe to do this?
To me this proved true independence is interdependent. We are only as independent as each and everyone of us are. Yes tis true even pigeons can be out teachers. The future holds what we do to and for each other. We can sink it or create magnificence.
Someone today did a scientific experiment to check out my chakra pillows called me to show and tell me which one was best for him. This was scientific proof that the one I had told him he needed was indeed the one that balanced him most. He then asked me how I knew this. Intuition says I. “How did you develop that?” he asked. My response will probably not surprise you.” I’m a woman we have intuition and I have always know that. Also 40 years of meditation doesn’t hurt. ”
We all need intuition to know where to place our energy most effectively. We all need intuition to know who and what needs our attention now. We all need intuition to stay connected to create this future we see, want, know and long for. One where people create together, think about what they are doing and how it will impact us in 6 months and 50 years both.
What are you doing? What are your passions now? Who are you creating with? I want to know it matters to me too.
Blessings
