Want More Clarity?

Clarity is a premium asset. From this place we can make good to great decisions. It means our emotions are not driving the decision. It means we are not attached to the outcome. It means we can see beyond what we think should be into what the gifts are, no matter what.

Clarity means that we have a freedom from the confinement of being trapped into what society says, what fashion says, or what your inner little demons say. It is truly a place of peace—a clear place where grace is truly the guiding light. It is a priceless place because you are neither swayed by others nor unkind or unconscious of them. It is a very inclusive place.

So how do we get to clarity? Funny, I keep coming back to the same things—breathing, chanting, meditating, how to eat, how to speak, etc. If you meditate or exercise, chant it. It is much more difficult to eat trashy foods which can truly make us crazy. It is like backing into a dump and taking the trash home with us. When you eat badly, do you ever feel energetic or clear?

So, clarity has it’s friends that keep it alive and ones that kill it. When I don’t feel clear, I try to go outside and roller blade some hills, or sit on my mat for a few minutes and chant or do a meditation that works. Yes we all lose our clarity. It is knowing how to re-find it that counts. But what counts even more is knowing you have lost it and then wanting it back again. Do something new or powerful in the moment while not hoping that it’s shelf life will expire.

The YES’s and the NOs

What are you saying yes to at this moment? What is that yes is giving you? What are you saying no to? What are you getting from saying no? We sometimes have the things we need to be saying yes to and the things we need to say no to mixed up. The best way to check it out is meditate first. Clear and calm your mind. (try this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGPZu1lfzT0 ) then look at what you need to say yes or no to. This will come from a clear mind that will activate your intuition and give you an answer that will feed you as opposed to one that just seems good or fun at the moment but the lasting effects will neither sustain nor support you.

This lifetime is not about how much fun we can have or how rich we can get but about how deeply you can know yourself. It is as if we are asking someone else to tell us who we are or why we are here. No one can do that for you. People and teachers can help you. But you have to come to an understanding of the ins and outs of your being.
How aligned are you with the Divine?
How in-tune with your being are you?
How gracious and greatful are you for all that you have been given even if it seems hard?
What are you doing today to uplift yourself and those around you?
What person who was going off on you were you able to diffuse?
What situation did you remember to breathe through instead of react to?
These are the questions we should carry around in our pockets and purses and pull out and ask ourselves each day. Then you will become aware of what you are truly saying yes to and what you are saying no to. We tend to evaluate ourselves either too leniently or too harshly. Neither works. Just be with the questions and let the answers tally up how conscious you have been today. That or record yourself speaking all day and listen back to it. It might make you opt for silence or might make you thank The Divine.

And You?

And You? We all want other people to care about us. We all want others to recognize what we have done or are doing for them. We have  very Earth plane desires to be recognized, loved, heard, and yet what are our deepest desires? Just the opposite. How can I love more? How can I see both the seen and the unseen more clearly? How can I recognize the greatness and neurosis in others and be attached to either?

This is the very definition of a great life. One where you see the other as the Divine. Where you treat them as such. Yet this is challenging because we have our wants and our desires. We have our thoughts on how things should be and how they should be said and how we want them to feel. All good but limiting. The real question is how often are we willing to get out of our own way to see things in a great depth from a more vast perspective? Then the real question is how can we do this?

The fastest way I know is breath. The fastest way I know is breath mixed with motion and chants. To change the state but even more than change it is about draining the dead energy out that creates the disconnect and bring in the vastness of breath that creates clarity of mind. Our clarity of mind is directly connected to our breath. Want a stale upset mind just make your breath shallow and you to shall be so. The reverse is also true and much yummier state to live in.

What price would you pay for clarity?

What price would you be willing to pay for a clear mind without taking Ativan or Ritilan or some other mind enhancing focusing drug? I know these are the big study support drugs at this point. Would you love to have a great ability to focus and stay focused on whatever task you have in front of you without drugs? If yes, let me share my best clear and focused techniques.

3. What you eat matters. Eat live food. Yes, you know the carb deal but try live food, live food bars, chomp on carrots, celery, avocados, cucumbers. No prep needed other than a knife maybe. They will keep you sustained and clear minded. Celery so good for the nervous system. Yes, they don’t come wrapped. They don’t have a long shelf life, but you will have a long brain life if you do it.

4. Try 5 HTP this is only a suggestion. It helps with the serotonin levels.

5. Remember to get up and exercise even if it is right by your desk something to clear your head. I keep my yoga mat right by my desk and go upside down often during the day. Try it go look through my videos on www.youtube.com/theenergyguru

6. Eat Brain foods. Drink gingko tea and green tea as opposed to black tea or coffee. Green tea good. Too much caffeine will make you crash very soon not a sustained thing. Remember energy drinks steal your energy and your youth meaning your vitality and your power source. They leave you high and dry with heart palpations. Say yes to the things that will truly sustain you and back away from the cheaters.

What To Do?

There are many, many crossroads in our lives where we have no idea what to do with or for a situation. What do you do when you are at one of these crossroads? What if the crossroad last for a really long period of time? What then? It’s easy to say do yoga, meditate, pray, but which ones? For what works one time may not be what you need at another time.

A few days ago I was going to a class of a friend. As I walked in the front door of this center  a cat fight broke loose.   A man burst through the front door with a woman acting like a crazed cat chasing him trying to stuff something in any part of him she could. He ran down the hall with her yelling after him in a truly nasty tone. “Nice job towing me away yesterday.” The person next to me retrieved the paper she was trying to stick in or on the man who fled and calmly handed it back to her. It was as if he was seeking sanctuary and she huffed off muttering and mumbling. Then the person who retrieved the paper said, “Quick put on triple mantra”. Good choice to create protection but what was needed was clearing the space first. A spritz of essential oil, some sage or frankincense or Tibetan incense. A little sword work and then reestablish the protective cover that had been blown.

As I was going down the hall I saw the same man coming towards me. I said, “Next time turn and face her. Don’t run from fear. Face her, encompass her vibrationally and create protective mantras around you both. Then ask her, “Do you really want to act like this?” Ask it very kindly and calmly not judging her. You have a negative interlock with her. You have to let go, too.

What do you need to release? What are you locked into that is serving no one? Such a good time to see the other as you and bless bless and then cut the cord that creates the crazy making. Don’t expect all these words to be sweet. Sometimes they may be harsh.  It is the intent.  If the intent is NOT harsh then fire away. If the intent is harsh then even the sweetest words turn to stone.
