Yesterday was a monumental day in our History. It was the seeming completion of a tragic event. It was fulfilling a promise that had be made almost 10 years ago. It was securing in the minds of the world not to mess with the USA. It will be good for President Obama. It will be good for our economy and God knows we need this too. Lets not for get who Bin- Laden was.
He was a man from a very wealthy family, very wealthy who was educated in the USA and he had a vision. He had a vision of making his people free. I’m not not for a moment defending his actions nor his hate only that he wanted to uplift his people from the oppression he saw. Fanaticism has never been effective, endearing nor wise. It is always exclusive. It is always pitting something against something or someone else. It is always I am right and you are wrong.
I just don’t want us to forget to Chant “Akal “ (which means undying soul) for his soul and the souls of those taken with him all along his path of the sword. I want us to see that there is no total right nor total wrong and see what it is that he gave us. What did he wake us up to about our country and the darkness that we impose in the name of democracy. How can we use this as a time to rejoice at the end of an era. How can we rejoice and see more deeply into the essence of this entire situation and our place in this game of hate. How can we be part of the love that can be created this moment and all moments. How can we embrace him and the Taliban and see how to connect to their hearts. To see they have souls and yes they are fanatic. Yes they are violent. What can we feed so we are part of the healing that has a chance to happen now. Feed the love. That is truly sexy and alive. Feeding the hate is such a limited vision. As we can see by how many people didn’t mourn his death.
Let us chant, let us pray, let us know that Love really is all there is. See from your third eye what this is really about then chose healing for all. Chose love from your depths.

I totally agree with your sentiments. Although Bin Laden may have been a monster of heinous crimes and evil., I feel very confused by the actions of the USA in their disposing of Bin Laden’s body. His body should been left for his family to dispose of it for their closure and dignity, and not have been thrust out to sea like garbage. We should be past this sort of behaviour,,,,,,,,,,,this is medieval in my opinion. An eye for an eye is never the best solution.
