Everyone, if not medicated, will experience depression at some period of time. Life does a “throw us some curve balls” move on us which means we get things we never expected, we experience events we had hoped would never happen or something takes place that we were totally unprepared for. These “curve balls” are truly gifts to get you to not obsess on what you think should, could, would have happened. These events can erase your limited vision of what you see. It can make you dive more deeply into the vastness of what is or get stuck in self-pity. Sorry I got ahead of myself.
I want to speak of depression. First, I want to say it is not fun. No one who has ever been depressed for a day or longer will say it is fun. No one will say, “Oh you should really try depression. It’s great.” The thing I want to make clear is that depression is a physical experience, a mental experience, and a soul experience. It is the play of the dark side. Depression means you have lost something which may feel like all of your hope. This hope is not (usually) hope in another person but hope in life, hope that there is a Divine, hope that you will feel good again. Name your hopelessness. When you are there, it feels like there is no way out; it feels like you will be in this depressed state forever—numb, disconnected, and hopeless.
I can say with great ease that there are things that contribute to depression—not the event that stripped you naked or the feeling that your life sucks and you can’t see it getting better. I’m talking about the mineral imbalances that cause depressed emotions and what you can do to help create more balance in that arena. A good solution is to simply take the best liquid minerals you can find. I love Sun Warrior. I also heard of another one which you can get at the www.treeoflife.nu site. It’s called Polar Mins. Liquid minerals don’t taste yummy, so mix them accordingly.
Are you eating highly mineralized foods? Live and organic is best. Often, the more depressed you get, the worse your diet gets. This takes you into an even bigger downward spiral. Funny, when you feel bad, you often want to treat yourself to something that is not good for you—the self-destructive downward spiral. If you don’t have junk food around you, i.e., (in your house, car, purse, briefcase, etc.) you are less prone to make an effort to get junk food. There is a reason it is called junk food. The food part is really a big old lie but the junk part is right out front. Want to junk yourself out? Come dance with me. For a few minutes of yumminess, you will pay a big price. It will create emotional havoc in your being. But enough on this. You already know this. We are funny beings because we may know things on one level but until we really know it, we don’t stop doing “it.” I can hope this is the time you will hear this and truly get it. I promise, you will feel so much happier and healthier within 40 days, maybe, sooner.
If you’re in this depressed state that makes you feel alone, vulnerable, and separate, ask yourself how you can use this state when it comes to visit you. Be with it. Use Sitali Breath: roll your tongue and stick it out through your lips. Inhale slow and long through the rolled tongue and exhale through your nose. The slowness will take you down deep. As it slows the mind, it activates your receptivity by engaging your parasympathetic nervous system. Do this not only for 1 minute, but be willing to devote 11-22-31 minutes, and then allow yourself to sit afterwards. Allow your depression to speak to you at this level—a much more elevated level. This darkness is also part of the Divine; a part of you. Once you accept it and encompass it, it becomes a part of you. When you are integrated, you cannot feel the coldness of separation that unnerves you.
Accepting the darkness with the light is a good thing, but you need to be at a much higher frequency than most vibrate at on a daily basis, especially if depression has been the reigning king/queen. When you say yes to the depression at this level after doing Sitali Breath, you are inviting it in at a frequency that makes it a part of that frequency (not you being a part of its frequency). It is the level of vibration we are speaking of here. Elevate your frequency, then have your consultation with your depression.
Try it, and if it works, let me know. There are many more little gifts in the 13th Month (which should really be called a handbook for life). Go into The 13th Month Program and be willing to spend under $10 on getting tools for you (Think of all the coffee and movies and other trivial things you spend more than that on). Treat yourself to the depression antidote. It awaits you.
Wahe Guru love and blessings to you,
