3-2: Feeling Calm
Calm is one of the most elusive feelings. Some of you have no idea what this feels like; some of you do and love the feeling; some of you do and it scares you because you do not feel powerful when you are calm. The most powerful people alive today know how to meditate or sit and be calm with their visions. They can effectively act from that space. They know how to clear out their mind and become receptive.
This is the gift I want to give you this month. The capacity to get to calm and to regain your neutral mind is priceless. Our positive and negative minds get to have their say so but it is how fast we can ground into our neutral mind that matters.
Making decisions from the negative mind will make you over protective or over reactive which will give you lots of clean up on the back end. Making decisions from only the positive mind can mean that you did not do your due diligence and you go with your intuition only. Neutral means that you come from a place of impersonal knowingness. The loss and the gain are clear and you know which way to go. It comes from both doing the work of the earth plane, which means that you covered your bases and that you trust your intuition. It means you are not attached, not detached, just a present observer seeing the completion of the task or project. knowing the outcome.
This takes a developing of the meditative mind. If you are scared by the thought of meditating, relax this is easy. If you love meditation, try this, it is easy and will bring a calm connection to your own neutrality.
The Ma Meditation:
Ma means rebirth, another chance, the vastness of the infinite feminine.
Sit in a comfortable position with your spine straight. You can sit in a chair, on the floor, or a cushion. For the hand position, curl your first finger and thumb into each other until they are touching (this is called Gyan Mudra or the position of wisdom).
Now inhale in 4 parts starting the first section of the breath as close to the pelvic bone as possible and coming up the trunk of the body with each section of the breath. On the exhale, chant “MA.” Hold the sound in your mouth allowing the lips to part about halfway through the exhale. This can be done loudly or in a whisper depending on the environment.
Gifts: Calms and balances the mind. Gives you the expansiveness and totality of MA, the rebirth of energy and you.
Time: 3-31 minutes depending on the situation. The more challenging the situation, the longer you will do the meditation. Even 30 seconds will help you clear the confusion and get to a more expanded state.
Let me know how this works for you. If you don’t do it, you will never know the benefits. Take the next 7 days and do it daily. 7 is a cycle of consciousness. Make it yours. Practicing it daily will give calm. Remember you have at least 30 days until your next meditation comes, so do it for 30 days. Give yourself 11 minutes to test this out each day.
