HS Neutral Mind– A Neutral Mind: What is it really? A non-reactive mind, a mind that can allow you to take two or ten steps back, a willingness to look at a situation through a calm non-judgmental mind. A wonderful thing to be in possession of, a wonderful friend, a wonderful asset to the totality of you. It makes your truly well rounded.
Do you own one of these priceless treasures? Would you like to build one? If yes, then come with me. You can build a neutral mind in meditation. Meditation is not something that descends upon you and you are good at it or you are not. It is something you cultivate like a garden. Are you are willing to be with you, which is the most challenging thing to do? A famous saying and I paraphrase: “The person that can be all by themselves, quiet, doing nothing, fearing nothing – that is the person I will bow to, that is a person who knows themselves and all the universe.”
Knowing how and when to release so that you can be the best of you – that is the challenge of these times. Releasing on people is non-productive, right? Just going for a quick fix and release be it sex or drugs or ……. doesn’t really give you a true release. It gives you the illusion of a release but the tension will quickly return much stronger. Let’s go for a sustained release that gets longer with each repetition. We want to release and create a calm to see other options instead of the ones we always fall back on. Get the big perspective. True release clears space for seeing through different eyes.
This is a breath meditation that will help release the stressors:
Sit wherever you can a bathroom ( I say this so you don’t think you need the perfect place to meditate) will do just fine. Relax your hands in your lap right hand lying in the left hand with palms facing upwards. Take a sipping breath in through the mouth like you have a straw in your mouth then exhale in two powerful puffs called a cannon breath. As you exhale your navel and diaphragm should contract from the force of the exhale. Do this for at least 3 minutes. If you really need to release something big, do it for 7 minutes. Please pull up on the lower locks (rectum and sex organs) to keep from getting light headed. This is very powerful. Don’t do this while driving.
