I love my beautiful body

danceWe have these wonderful units that have all these moving parts that long to be activated. There is no one way to move her/him. Just move them in gratitude. Today at the beach we played in and with the waves. Delicious. Yesterday I rollerbladed hills doing my 11’s from Jap Ji, delicious mantras and blessings to all. It cleared my head of all that seemed to be required. Yoga slips in all day for my body. Maybe yours resents being parked in a chair, in bed, or on anything for too long. It is asking you not to let it turn into the tin man/woman. It is inviting you to dance the dance that calls to you.

What exercise are you passionate about?

What exercise will you embrace because it is good for you?

Who do you love to do some sport or exercise with?

String these loves together and allow your body to move as it longs to do. It will thank you by staying healthier and with your brain more clear. By being more flexible, by having more endurance, and so much more. Remember that your body follows your mind and your mind responds to your body. Remember how hard it is to think clearly when your body is sick. Not impossible, just more challenging. Why choose challenging? Think how you can ask your body out for a play date. Be that innocent and loving. I will join you.

To love is to give, to give is to have, to have is to give love. Give your body the dance of love. Follow the motion for I will help you lose the commotion.

Oh My! What have you missed?

Gurutej Stuck to Inspired Yoga

Oh My! What have you missed?

It’s so amazing what we miss out on because… we want to do something really fast, we are overwhelmed, we have no space to see or do anything else and so much more (or so many more reasons). Yet is there really any good reason not to tune into the majic? Is there any good reason not to stand and take the person, the place, the situation in without judgment or prejudice? Try this little exercise for the next week. It’s called Tracking Majic. It will increase your awareness. I will explain in detail but first read just the bullets.

  1. Invite new eyes to the mundane.
  2. See the person in front of you as if for the first time
  3. Get curious instead of mad or sad.
  4. Align your ears and heart and listen from that connection.

Overwhelm often brings a deep disconnect. To reconnect, add a big dose of wonder, of curiosity, or adventure. This needn’t take any more time, but a slowing down of your breath to allow a new perception in.

“Invite new eyes” means “let your eyes go out of focus,” slightly out of focus. This is an old shamanic technique. Let your eyes go wide and soft and see what is there. This can serve you more than you know. Let me know what happens with this.

Yesterday I looked out my bathroom window and saw this orange thing on the power pole. It made me laugh because I knew what it was. I have a squirrel who is very tame and has jumped on my feet and eaten nuts from Keith’s hands who thinks he likes oranges-or he likes them for a time and then doesn’t (not sure which), but he steals oranges and then I see this orange up on the telephone pole.

He doesn’t really steal oranges. To him, he is never stealing; the oranges are really his. Now I don’t know if he is leaving that orange there for a friend or drying it up in the sun, (or any number of scenarios). All I know is… I love noticing it sitting there. The squirrel is God talking with me. What have you missed seeing?

See the person in front of you as if for the first time. Wooza! This one is challenging, but makes life so much more fun and investigative. You get to be curious instead of reactive. You get to notice things you may never have noticed. You get to play with this person in new ways. This will create new patterns and new fun. You hide so much from each other for fear of ______ (you fill it in). Being present will help reveal what really is going on in the other, not the box we love to put each other in. We have categories that we sort people through fat/thin, in shape/not in shape, color of skin, clothes, voice, jewelry, car… all this means that we want to move towards them or away based on (very often) untrue summations. I know this is a protective mechanism but it has become so much more. The sorting file that says trash or treasure, can help me, can’t help me, keeper, not keeper (and yes, there’s so much more), cause you miss the joy with the revelation-the joy of the unexpected.

The joy of… who knows what? Please say you will try this with new people and the people deeply entrenched in your life. Look through the eyes of innocence and see something amazing that you have never noticed. Then please share.

Do you understand that “stuck” means so much more than “not able to move”?

It can mean “stuck in a way of thinking that no longer serves us” (or maybe never did).

Stuck can mean “stuck in patterns that make your life safe or busy but not fulfilled.”

Stuck can mean “unwilling (till now, hopefully) to see things in a different light.” It’s too scary if you were to be truthful.

Stuck can mean “anything that stops you from having anything other than a totally connected life.”

If you are feeling stuck and ready to get unstuck, then please join us in this small group for 4 weeks of inspired transformation. Go here and make the leap and join us.
http://stucktoinspired.com/invitation/

This is for those who said, “I want to work with you” but… (I have removed all the “buts”) now you have to say yes to you.

Time, Space and You

Time, Space and You

Time is the earth unfolding. It is an agreement of guidelines for the earth interactions. I always remember how time-challenged Pritham was. She had her own time/clock and if she could help it she was staying true to that.

I remember when Beverly Hills High school called me and said Pritham was late for every class even though she was on campus. Could I help them get her to class on time? I laughed—not the answer they were expecting. I shared what my mornings were like, getting her out of the house so her brother and cousin wouldn’t always be late for school. They called me back a few days later and shared this story: “We called Pritham in and told her that we would dock her a full grade every time she was late for a class and her response was, ‘Do whatever you have to do.’” They were freaked out and didn’t know what to do.

What’s the lesson there? Don’t ever give threats you can’t keep. Don’t threaten people with things they aren’t afraid of. Time is somewhat agreed upon by most of us. It keeps you grounded and on track. You look at your calendars to see what time you have appointments, to schedule your days, to try and separate the various aspects of your lives.

Space. It is the ether part of our lives. Do you schedule time to be in space? They say spacing out is very necessary for brain function—one of the top 5 things. We have curiosity, humor, deep sleep, spacing out, and fearless action. Even more nourishing than spacing out is meditation. One does not exclude the other. They both create space. Aren’t you always asking for more space in your life? You want more space to live in, more physical space, more space in relationships, etc., but what you really want is the spaciousness within yourself—that vastness that allows you to realize you are on the earth but of the ether. We need both aspects to filter through your “I am; your “I am-ness.”

Think of all the space movies and operas on television. These reflect the longing to know and be more connected to the vastness that is the universe; the known and unknown. We want to know the unknown, but mostly we look to others to tell us what is out there. Go there yourself and beyond.

Meditation/Chanting is truly there to take you into the spheres beyond time and space. First, you must go into the spaciousness of space before you can go beyond it.

The best way to get vast and connected is to:

  1. Have the desire to know and befriend the unknown
  2. Take the time each day to grow those muscles by spending time meditating
  3. Chant and play with the Essence of the Divine.
  4. Look at that percentage of your day you devote to your vastness.

This will feed the “I am-ness” of you. Then, you get time and space to serve you. Both of these aspects have vastness. Time is horizontal and space is vertical in their directions of vastness. When you feel fear, try this mudra. It will reconnect you to the vast essence of you.

Fold your ring (Sun) finger and your middle (Saturn) finger into your palm and press them down with your thumb. Do this on both hands, allowing the first finger (Jupiter) and the last finger (Mercury) to extend out, straight. Breathe long and deep. This will take you deep quickly. Do this often, 3-5 times each day for 40 days and then share what it has done for you.

Watch more quick yoga exercises on my YouTube channel.

Wahe Guru. May vastness encompass you.

How to Use Agony

Use the AgonyHow to Use Agony

In my meditation this morning, I realized that agony is a catalyst and it can turn us into, oh, so many things. It can:

  1. Make us lash out
  2. Make us run away, or hide, or do bad things to ourselves
  3. Make us bitter
  4. Make us hopeless

Or it can:

  1. Blow us open
  2. Connect us to everything
  3. Make us compassionate for all who have gone this road before (which is everyone)
  4. Let us say Wahe Guru, Yes, or Hallelujah and make us realize that all agony is followed by Bliss

If you are not experiencing agony right now, great. But it will come visit you again, so please keep reading.

We all want to avoid agony and we have many assorted ways of doing so. Some ways are more socially and huemanly acceptable than others. Need I delve into the trying to escape agony with..? Make your own list. I have no desire to preach the pros and cons of addictions. I want you to look under the rock of your agony and see what the real cause of this agony is. Is it something from childhood that we have kept going throughout our lives by holding it captive and creating habits around it to protect us? We have been carrying the components of agony around with us and then some situation or person lights the fuse and there we are on the proverbial floor, writhing. Do this little and powerful meditation and then we will look in the closets of your being. I’m sharing this one because it will clear you head when you feel like blowing your brains out when you feel hopeless.

What Does Defrag Mean to You?

What Does Defrag Mean to You?

Defrag to me means something I was supposed to do when I had a PC. Clear the deck. Get rid of the funk. Release all the unwanted data. Do you do this to yourself? Do you know how to defrag you? It may seem a funny question but think about it. We know how to do this for our computers and yet you who are much more important than your computer don’t know how to defrag you? Do you want to?

If yes, then keep reading. I realized a few years ago that we know more about the capitals of each state, about finance and clothing styles and weather, and world news, and trivia than we do about how to regulate our own energy. Why is that? Why have we received no training in how to regulate and adjust our own energetic states? We hate it when someone’s emotions are always out of control but we just wish they would “get a grip” because we don’t have any good tools to offer them. We wish we wouldn’t get so angry, or anxious, or frantic, or hopeless but we don’t know what to do about it. Sometimes we try sugar or caffeine or drugs or alcohol or sex or therapy. You know—or or or—but, we don’t really know what to do with ourselves when we go to these dark or non-functional, non-friendly states. Do you want some really easy clues for things you can do? How about a tool kit to keep you on a more even keel? Just think of all the people around you who will be as happy as you are that you don’t get.so much anymore.

Try this nerve calm yoga exercise.

You have to do that one before you do this energy yoga exercise for when you don’t know what to do.

If you feel good after these 3-min. exercises and 3-min meditation, you can expand this into having one of my Daily Defrags to be emailed to you each and every day. So you can take a few 3-minute breaks. There is a lot of scientific research stating you can only work effectively for 60-90 min without taking a break. So take a true power break every 60 to 90 min. and have a daily defrag dropped into your email each day so you can utilize the gifts of you. Go here and order my Daily Defrags for less than a cup of coffee.

You can also get the flip charts which can sit on your desk and give you 18 exercises for release and 18 for rejuvenation. If you want to know how to release your tension in the moment, then get that. If you need to know how to rejuvenate yourself in the now (not 1 hour or 2 days), get that chart. If you know you need both (you are very smart), then buy both the Daily Defrag and the Energy Yoga Flip Charts.

These priceless tools are so inexpensive and there is a reason for that. I want you to truly succeed in your life. That means you don’t feel like a stress bunny or a stressor of any kind. Are you worth $10 – $20? If yes then get these tools. If not, then pass this on to someone who will seize the day. Wahe Guru love to you.

Blessings,

Gurutej Khalsa

Fun Yoga Pose – Is There Such a Thing?

Is There Such a Thing As a Fun Yoga Pose?

There are yoga poses that look fun. I call these party poses because they’re fun to show off at parties. They are also good for you and are usually the ones others can’t or won’t do, right? Then, there are the ones that are fun only when they are over. Don’t think I need to elaborate on those—the ones you hate to do but after doing them, you feel great. Then there are the ones I call the Energy Guru poses that give you energy on the spot—the ones that make life fun.

Getting stuck in some dark, angry, depressed or anxious state is not fun. What can change your state of mind, heart and being into a more open powerful state is fun. Think about this if you knew you could invest 2-3 minutes and make $1000s. Would you do it? If you thought that if you invested 1-3 minutes in you because you could change your energy state from depleted or reactive, to energized and clear, would you make that investment? I hope you are smart enough to say, yes, to that one so here is your chance. A gift of a fun yoga pose and exercise.

You can continue to read this even if you have done something similar or are familiar with it already (there really is more than one). This fun yoga pose or exercise will not be meaningful unless you have invested 1-3 minutes in you. Fun to me is something most of us have not been taught. We know how to manipulate numbers, i.e., the stock market; we know how to manipulate others; we know how to manipulate the pollution in the environment, but we don’t know how to manipulate our own energy except with pills or cheap energy drinks. Fun is knowing that you are not a slave to your emotions. Fun is knowing that energy is energy and you are an alchemist of your own domain. You have the power to change your own states at will without trashing yourself. You now have the power to know that you can go from glum to fun at your will. That is true power. Those who can’t control their own energetic states are always be looking outside for ways to get more. The so-called energy drinks literally kill your adrenals, taxes your heart and who knows what else. It is agreed that they are not good for you.

Okay, I want to give you another majical exercise so you know that the last one wasn’t just a fluke. For all non-believers and those who want more, here is another exercise. This one is to get you over taking yourself so seriously. Oh, just so you know, no one looks good when doing this, so go somewhere you won’t be seen, or even better, get others to do it with you.

Here’s how to do it. Inhale in 4 equal parts through your mouth starting from as low in your diaphragm as you can (NOTE: when stressed, your diaphragm will be tight and it will be hard to breathe deeply), then exhale by sticking your tongue out as far as you can and opening your eyes as wide as you can. For extra effectiveness, do this with someone you love, or hate, or in-front of a mirror. If this doesn’t make you laugh at yourself and life, you are dead. It is called Dragon Breath and it is for getting rid of the anger and the dragons we carry around that are eating us from the inside. Opening your eyes this wide will give you another gift, which we will speak of later. For now, do it and then let me know how it works for you. Do this in the middle of a fight, maybe, but not with your boss. You aren’t fighting with him/her anyway right? Let me know what happens to the fighting energy. It is majical and very fun.

Too fast, Too much , Too….

We forget to remember that we have bodies, that we are a soul, that stressors not addressed and cleared make us sick on so many levels. I am playing the angel and the devil on your shoulder today. The devil is saying you have had such a bad or hard day you deserve to eat that ice cream, those chips, that mound of chocolate just insert your reward list. You angel is saying I know you are tired, okay exhausted but if you go out and take a walk, a run, do some yoga, dance you will regain yourself. If you can’t do that take a bath and oh drop that bag of chips won’t make you feel better. You see angels always have to say more to us. We like to go with the devil cause it seems easier at the time. But the Devil will makes us pay on the back side like the mob. He will collect. You will lose. So are you ready to do what needs to be done? Because it is often the harder choice. Still choose Gold.

Sometimes we plow through our days and forget who we are. Who the other people around us are. Who the people we speak with are. They are not their jobs. They too are not just the title you have given to them. They are vast projections of the Divine. You need energy to see it sometimes because it is veiled, sometimes thinly sometimes with bullet proof material. Having compassionate eyes gives you the ability to penetrate all fibers into the very essential fibers of the other. Arm yourself with humility, compassion, love, kindness to have those allies you yourself can’t be exhausted, uptight, frazzled, so what to do to show up charged, alive, whole? Meditate each morning, exercise, do what you love. It doesn’t have to be hours even 31 min will make a huge difference in your day. 31 mi meditation and 31 min exercise. 1 hr that will change all your hours of each day.

Get YOUR Essence Back will give you the guidelines to do just this and so much more. http://darkhibernation.com/store/get-your-skinny-back/ get the you that is really you back. Feed the angel She/He is clapping right now can you hear. …shhhh listen. Sunia with your entire being. Listen. Then connect.

Wahe Guru love to you

Awareness, I love it. This is a story of my recent wake up call. There was the day that loomed small and dark  for no known reason I was deeply depressed. I’m not suggesting that I am usually depressed, that events can usually trigger my depression or anything else for that matter. I just was depressed and I couldn’t shake it with rollerblading, breathing, meditation was the only things that worked and once out it was back to lights out. Hopeless is how I felt. I have many many known and unknown blessings in my life so where was this coming from? What triggered it? I couldn’t even work past 7pm and trust me I had lots of work to do.I could not get a grip on what was causing this totally darkness I felt like someone on those bad TV ads. I know depression has many components and minerals and right diet and exercise are some of them. I do all that. Literally all I was capable of, I blew off an engagement which I almost never do,was speak with my love on the phone. I was in quite literally a mess.

The next day I awoke at 5 am my usual happy self and the light went off. I had drunk this delicious tea my friend had given me. It had Matte’ in it. I love Matte it does not however love me back. If I drink it for two days and then on the third day I don’t drink it I am truly deeply depressed. My daughter who is in Med. School jested that I should have just not stopped. We laughed about my sensitivity. She has similar sensitivities. I was just amazed at how I could forget this. It has happened before and I always vow to remember that I can only drink Matte in Oregon maybe because I spend the day chasing my grandchildren. The old saying “What good for the goose isn’t necessarily good for the gander.” Meaning you cannot judge what works for you by what other people are doing. That really holds on every level.

I learned a few great things from this incident that I wanted to share with you:

1. Know what your body, mind and soul can handle.

2. Follow those guidelines

3. Take in all the information you are given and then touch it to your touch stone.

4. Check in with yourself, get sensitive to what reactions you have to various situations, foods, etc .

5. Doctors and healers can help you check in but you need to know you.

6. Admit your strengths and weaknesses and honor them both

7. Meditation is priceless use it

8. Accepting your body as a gift and treat it like one.

9. When you ask for answers you have to actually listen to and for the answer.

10. You may not like the answer but if you are really smart you will act on it.

10. You need to make time each day preferrably a couple times /day to check in with you.

Here is something that will help clear your head so when you ask the question you have the space to hear the answer. Answers bounce off full hard drives.

http://tinyurl.com/ylfsbpo

Go here and watch this actually do it and then check in with you. What in you needs to shift as this planet is shifting? What do you need to loose? What needs to be adjusted? Realize then actualize. Clarity brings right action. Allow the unknown to become known.

http://tinyurl.com/ylfsbpo

Yes I put it in twice just in case you didn’t go there the first time.

Blessings

How to make all Days whole and holy

Posted by Gurutej

I was driving back from Vegas Monday morning. I will leave it to your imagination what I was doing in Vegas. Safe to say I only go there for one thing and it’s not the drinking, gambling, sex trio. What is that one thing? Hmm tell you later.

I’m driving back on the 15 and very clear traffic when all of a sudden we go from 80 mph to zero in seconds. Thank God for great breaks. I could see the stop happen so what we all knew was something probably “an accident” had happened up front. We had passed the road work signs. Only one thing it could be was “an accident”.Everyone got very calm and patient. I sent prayers and sure many others did as well. Interesting how when you know something challenging has occurred and it is out of your control we can do group Zen for a period of time.

What is “an accident”? Is it truly an accident? Who is prepared for one? This one was really bad. After 50 minutes of inching our way up saying the two cars were totaled was like saying there has been a little damage to a village that has been firebombed in Iraq. The fire engine got there 5 minutes before we did. Not sure how two cars going the same direction had a head on collision. Yet that is what it looked like. must have been a swipe and spin situation.  No one came out of this alive. These people did not plan this as part of their trip that morning. They didn’t take out accident insurance they were just going somewhere. They took a detour from where they thought they were going.

Why am I telling you this? Because each day is a gift and we need to set this foundation up each morning each moment. This foundation will allow you to live like this is the only moment there is. This of vast importance to you, to me, to us all.

We need to paln for the future and live in the now. So easy to say right but what muscles do you need to allow you to remember to be with this moment, this person, this event, this promotion. You need to start working your heart and soul muscles.

What is a good way to work those babies? Start your day, each day you are given with some meditation time, some prayer time, some time to hear your deepest inner voices with no sound drowning them out. Recharge during the day by having moments assigned to you. Put them in your written schedule. Reconnecting even if it means going to the bathroom or vanishing from your office or home to do so. It will make your a better person, a better worker, a better boss, a better partner and mother/father.

We are not at our best just pushing ahead with some distant goal of when it will be okay to breath or do whatever we want.

My daughter is in medical school and said she must yes must exercise, meditate and do yoga or she would be most unhappy and have brain freeze. I spoke with another doctor yesterday and he said the same thing that exercise was not optional in med school. It truly is not optional in life. Nor is an 11 minute meditation or even a three minute one during your day.

Try this a mere 1-3 minutes one:

Sitali Breath

Breath out that stress…

Roll the tongue and stick it past your lips. If you cannot roll it, just make an “O” shape with your mouth with the tongue protruding slightly beyond the lips. Breathe in deeply through the mouth. Exhale slowly through the nose emptying the lungs all the way.

1-2 minutes

Gift

The best anti-stress breath available. The breath passing over the wet tongue creates a cooling effect.

This one can be done anywhere including meetings: A great calm down.

Finger Tips Release

Relief for over-worked hands and brains

Hands facing, join fingertips with light pressure. Move hands in and out by bending the fingers.

A variation is to lightly tap the fingertips or move the fingertips around in very small light circles.

This last version calms the nervous system. Do it during meetings with conscious breath.

1-2 minutes

Gift

The stimulation of fingers never endings activate various glands in the brain. Helps feel more lively and relaxed.

So be available to alchemically changing your life in the moment to be present and have no regrets when “an accident” might occur. Don’t evoke accidents but being ready is always a plus.

Want to know why I was in Vegas? Stay tuned. Just kidding for CEO space great club to be part of. Ask me about it.

Blessings
