When you feel that the sky is falling and it’s literally caving in on you, what is your go to? Isn’t it funny how weeks, days, and minutes are not created equal? Even if the constitution of the US tells us we shall all be treated equal, life is just not set up that way. The world just “dishes it out” and we literally feel “out of our element.”
I want to connect with you about the elements–Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. I want you to know and understand the elements that you are the closest to and which ones work for you.
Earth. There is the earth in the following:
- The beach
- Mud baths (or mud packs)
- Sand storms
- Worm castings
- You name it
Water. Water has so many variations for different people. Look into what works for you. Ask yourself:
- Are you good in, on, or at the water?
- What type of water do you prefer? (tap, bath, salty, soapy showers)
- Do you enjoy drinking water?
- Do you like the rain?
- Do you enjoy the snow?
- Name that place of water that you like (ocean, lake, pond, river)
Keith, my beloved, loves the ocean as long as it is warm (the Pacific here is not). Me? Unless it is frozen solid, I am in it. Know how water can serve you. My granddaughter made this very clear to me. On vacation, she jumped into the lake only once in 3 days, unlike her brother which jumped in like 3 times every 30 seconds. When I inquired about why she did not love being in the lake and the ocean, hers was a great response. “I would if it was more like a swimming pool. You know, warmer and I could see the bottom.” She was good at paddling the kayak and fishing at the lake. She was very happy just being at the lake and on the lake, just not being in it.
Fire. This element conjures up images of the following:
- Sitting by a fire
- Cooking and loving it
- Wanting to be a fire fighter
- Camping (because you can cook over an open fire)
What do you imagine about fire?
Air. Do you…
- like the wind and love to dance, feel, and play in it?
- love fans?
- feel alive with the wind?
- want to stay inside when there’w wind?
- wind makes me agitated?
- love to breath it in? (cleaner the better)
Say what you feel about the air.
Ether. A little harder to access, but here are the ways I know to access Ether:
- Prayers with breath
We all don’t have the same relationship with any of these elements. Keeping this in mind and know what element you’re most at home with–the element that gives you the most delight and light. I want you to come back and read my next post; we will discuss how to best use these elements for you.
Wahe Guru. All love and light to you,
