There is this wonderful story about a child playing so joyously in water and the older brother scolding the younger child for getting all wet. The younger child just kept on having fun and the older child, who had learned about proper behavior, was getting more and more frustrated. He was obviously put in charge of the younger child. He started yelling just like a frustrated adult, “You have to listen to me.” He said this so loud and commanding the younger child stopped to see what was wrong with him. He didn’t understand but he knew his brother was in trouble so he went over and gave him a big hug. The innocence of situations in our lives can disarm us.
When you ask for something and it comes to you bumping and grinding or yelling and playing, don’t make it leave. Stop and look deeply at it till you can see the treat. Innocence is the eyes of love. It breaks down barriers and allows us to strip away all superfluous wrapping paper and see the grace that has been delivered. The younger brother totally disarmed and relaxed the older brother with his totally unabashed love expressed by his hug. What is yelling at you to pay attention? What is trying to tell you you need to treat yourself better? You need to open to the gifts coming towards you especially if they are stretching you to be the vastness of you.
Funny we often transfer our fears or what we are uncomfortable with onto others. Try reversing that and see how much courage you can get from others. See how much freedom you can glean from others who are fearless. Hanging out with people who are truly fearless (not just reckless) will put you in the vibration of fearless. My mother used to say, “Show me who you go with and I will tell you who you are.” So go with those who will bring the best, the most fearless and courageous you forward. Will you say yes to this?
Do this meditation for releasing fear.
Then do something that will take you into something you fear, or think you can’t do or have, and claim it. We often regret what we don’t do more that what we have done that we shouldn’t have. Say yes to YOU, to your courage, to being the treat you are meant to be.
All love in the Divine,
