Wouldn’t it be wonderful to collect everyone’s tips on what to do when life “gets to you?” I would love to hear Nelson Mandalas, and your’s and my grandchildren’s and Michelle Obama’s, and other people worthy of note. We could call them tips to live by. Yes, there are times in our lives that are easy and those that are more challenging. But what we do, the grace we maintain (or lose) when those challenges roll in, is like the tide. That’s what’s interesting.
We can learn all about the influences of the stars and planets, of the days of the week and our lineage, but right now, we—you, have a chance to create a new legacy. You have a chance to pay attention to the cycles of life and the heavens and use the gifts they bequeath to us. But the thing that you can do that can change everything the most (yes, the most radically) is to love. Love the moment; make it the best moment ever. Writing this to you is the best moment because it is connecting us on even deeper levels—this moment when you are taking your precious time to read this. Can you feel my love for you?
Sometimes, love just descends upon us from seemingly nowhere, but most of the time, it is a well-crafted life that allows love to ride on the back of trust. That wonder which springs from innocence, can be alive in you. As you embrace wonder, you will rediscover innocence. You will stop censuring yourself and your every move. You will stop judging others. You will feel a freedom to live and love.
It seems everyone in my life is getting their PHDs. I only want my PHD in love. I want to become a doctor of love; not a love doctor. Having my doctorate in loving is better. Do you want that? Simply having the desire is the great connector. The beauty of being connected—if you get to see through the eyes of the other—is that you get to see through the eyes of all that you are connected to and with.
The deeper your connections go, the more you discover the Dance of the Divine in every fiber of each person. There is this poem by Hafiz where he says, “You have millions of lawsuits against God. End the lawsuits that clog the brain. Hallelujah, Baby.” Yes, rejoice in the fact that you can end your internal wars that keep you seeing the same hopeless situations that you can’t fix—those that you can only mourn and scorn and (as a result) get forlorn.
I’m inhaling you as you read this and hope you are inhaling me as well, for the more you breathe, the more we will be free. If you really want a course that can help to reprogram your mind, heart and soul to serve the bright, glorious, and juicy essence of you (so you can have the best life ever no matter what it looks like on the outside), then try this: http://gurutej.downloads.private.s3.amazonaws.com/books/get-your-ESSENCE-back-pro.pdf/.
